I was so excited when I heard that Katie was engaged! Katie is Walker’s cousin and I’ve always getting to spend time with her at family events. She is one of the hardest working people that I know and very similar to Walker – slow to speak and quick to listen – a joy to be around. She is thoughtful and kind and I knew she would make an amazing wife one day!

We all met Chris at Easter and loved him. He complimented Katie so well and we were so excited when he popped the question. Fast forward to their wedding day and it was nothing short of perfect.

Katie and Chris are both from Middle Georgia and I love that they chose to get married at Ingleside Baptist Church. It’s a beautiful church in Macon, and I had never photographed a wedding there, I’ve only been to their amazing Christmas Eve service.

The church is white, bright and beautiful and was the perfect backdrop for Katie’s afternoon wedding.

Katie looked absolutely stunning in her dress from Carrie’s Bridal Collection and was glowing the whole morning. She and Chris chose to do a first look and we decided on the front of the chapel for the location. It was so sweet for them to see each other for the first time and to get to spend a little time talking before jumping into photos.

Their ceremony was gospel-centered and it was so fun to see so many of my friends and family line the aisle to celebrate Katie and Chris.

The reception was filled with amazing food and lots of laughter and hugs. Katie and Chris left their reception in a cloud of bubbles and it was such a happy day!

This was the first wedding where I was starting to show – so I made sure to drink plenty of water and try and take breaks when I could! It’s hard to believe we will be meeting our little man in a few months!
