Jane and Todd | Sunset Rock Engagement Photography

Calling all couples looking to hike to an overlook, tell their love story and take some pictures. That is what my dream client ad would say, and Jane and Todd fit it perfectly.

Jane was Walker’s neighbor growing up and a sweet family friend. I had always heard of her family but never met Jane so I was SO excited to meet her at Starbucks and get to know her a little better before her engagement session. She has the best story of following Jesus even when you’re not sure where he is going and how looking back his plan is so much more detailed than you would have dreamed! It was a joy to hear about how the Lord led her to play soccer at a school she wasn’t sure about where she eventually met Todd who was also playing soccer at the same school.

She likes to smile and laugh, and didn’t seem too stressed about wedding planning – it was such a fun meeting! During our time together we talked about engagement sessions and locations and decided on Sunset Rock in Chattanooga, TN. One of my best friends is from Lookout mountain so I was familiar with the location and had dreamed of doing an engagement session there for a while. I was so excited to have a couple up for an adventure and couldn’t wait for their session.

Fast forward a few months and it was everything I dreamed it would be. Todd and Jane were perfectly laid back and just excited to be together. We explored the overlook, they listened to everything I asked them to do and were great at posing, and Todd got a little too close to the edge for Jane!
