“I will never forget the first time we held hands. The soft touch of our palms. The uncertainty relieved with our fingers locked together. My stomach bursting with butterflies. It was something so underrated yet so gentle, so perfect and so powerful. Funny how starlight was brought forth by two imperfect hands. For holding your hand felt like holding your soul.”
You really can’t go wrong with high school sweet hearts in downtown Macon. I met Ashlie and Tony at the Rookery and we explored a few of the streets and alleyways and found some hidden gems in Macon. It was a pretty warm afternoon so we took a lot of AC breaks, but they were troopers and you could never tell their engagement session was in the middle of a Georgia summer. Me on the other hand… well let’s just be glad there are no pictures of me from their session. (yikes).
I loved their outfit choices, bright and airy and true to who they are. Tony is in the Air Force so I love that we were able to incorporate this time in their lives, and document what that means for them right now.
One of my goals when photographing my couples is capturing real, true emotion that represents a time, a moment, a feeling. Being able to provide them with an image, that when it goes on their wall and they glance at it throughout their everyday lives, they can look back on that moment and know how they felt. I want them to remember holding hands, and the little giggles and the whispers they shared during our session.
I had such a good time, and these images are some of my favorite in my portfolio. I believe they capture who Ashlie and Tony are as a couple and the happiness they have found in one another! I hope you enjoy! Let me know your favorites in the comments.
Beautiful!
Thank you, Amy!
I like the Military Pics…proud of these two!
